The permit, explained
A van registered in Karnataka pays a permit to enter Tamil Nadu, Kerala or Andhra Pradesh. The permit is paid at actual, so the bill shows what the state charged, and the desk names it in the fare when a trip crosses a border.
A trip that stays inside Karnataka pays no permit at all: the kilometres, the driver bata, toll and parking.
Fourteen, sixteen or eighteen seats
A Tempo Traveller seats 12, 13, 14 or 18, the Force Urbania 12 or 16 and the Mahindra Tourister 16, each with a driver based in Bangalore. The Tempo Travellers and the Urbania have AC; the Tourister is non-AC. A larger group goes in a mini bus of up to 21 seats.
By the kilometre or by the hour
Out of the city, a van is ₹20 per km plus ₹700 driver bata for each day on the road, with a minimum of 250 km a day. Kilometres are counted from where the van starts in Bangalore and back.
For a day inside Bangalore, an office event or guests to move between hotels, the van is hired by the hour, from ₹3,000 for 5 hours and 50 km. The table on this page lists every slab.
Other charges
Toll and parking are paid at actual. On a hill road the AC is switched off and a hill charge of ₹1,000 is added. An outstation trip has no night charge. GST at 5% is added to the bill.
Pickup
The van comes to an office, a hotel, the railway station at Majestic or Kempegowda airport. The airport is about 35 km from Majestic by Bellary Road (Google Maps, 15 October 2026), so a group landing together can be met at arrivals by one van.
Booking
Send the date, the pickup and the headcount on WhatsApp for one fare. The advance is set by the desk when it confirms, by the date and by how many vans are free.

The conditions that go with the fare
- Kilometres run from where the vehicle starts in Bangalore and back to it, as the vehicle's odometer reads them.
- Outstation trips carry a daily minimum; kilometres beyond it are billed at the per-km rate.
- Driver bata is charged for each calendar day.
- Toll, parking and other-state permits are extra, and GST at 5% is added to the bill.
- On hill roads the AC is switched off, and the trip carries a hill charge of ₹1,000, once for the trip.
- No smoking or alcohol in the vehicle.
- Distances on this site are approximate; detours, road blocks and U-turns are not counted, and the odometer is final. See the terms.
- An advance confirms the booking; the balance is paid to the driver on the trip. Rates move with the diesel price, so the desk confirms the fare when you book.

One message, one fare
An office in Whitefield is sending sixteen of its staff on a two-day trip that crosses into another state. The quotes the admin team has collected do not say which permits are in the price. One WhatsApp message gives the dates, the pickup point and the headcount. The desk replies with one fare for a 16-seat Force Urbania, with the kilometres, the bata and the state permit named line by line. The team leaves the office together, and the bill holds nothing nobody was told about.
